Responsibility
- Develop and execute strategic purchasing plans for performance running products to meet business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, sales data, and inventory levels to forecast demand and optimize stock levels.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align product assortment with customer preferences and market trends.
- Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, inventory turnover, and cost savings initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in merchandising, purchasing, or inventory management, preferably in the retail or sports industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and Excel.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and ERP software is a plus.
- Passion for performance running and an understanding of the product category.
