Responsibility
- Monitor and analyze budget performance, sales trends, and inventory levels to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain sales and inventory forecasts using historical data, market trends, and seasonal patterns.
- Collaborate with buying, merchandising, and finance teams to optimize stock allocation and replenishment strategies.
- Prepare detailed reports and dashboards for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and actionable insights.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark performance against industry standards and competitors.
- Support the annual budgeting and planning process by providing accurate data and strategic recommendations.
- Utilize ERP and inventory management systems to track merchandise flow and ensure data integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in merchandise planning, inventory control, or retail analytics.
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey insights to stakeholders.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or retail-specific software is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with high attention to detail.
- Familiarity with retail KPIs (e.g., GMROI, sell-through rates, inventory turnover) is advantageous.
