Responsibility
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems, including cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, and vouchers.
- Verify the authenticity of payment methods and ensure compliance with company policies to prevent fraud.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering inquiries, and resolving payment-related concerns professionally.
- Balance the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift, reconciling discrepancies and reporting any issues to management.
- Issue receipts, refunds, or exchanges according to store policies and maintain organized records of all transactions.
- Assist in inventory management by scanning items, checking prices, and reporting stock discrepancies to the relevant department.
- Uphold a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area, including restocking bags, promotional materials, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations, especially during peak hours or special sales events.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in retail or customer service is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Cashier, Retail Associate, or in a similar customer-facing role (preferably in a department store or high-traffic retail environment).
- Strong numerical and basic arithmetic skills with the ability to handle cash and operate electronic payment systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; proficiency in Indonesian is highly advantageous.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in transaction processing and record-keeping.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and extended shifts during peak seasons.
- Familiarity with POS software and basic computer operations; quick learner for new systems.
