Responsibility

  • Conduct regular site inspections of MEP installations to ensure strict compliance with project drawings, specifications, and international maritime standards.
  • Monitor the quality of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works, identifying and resolving non-conformance issues proactively.
  • Review and interpret complex engineering blueprints, technical manuals, and local regulatory codes relevant to port infrastructure.
  • Supervise testing and commissioning activities for MEP systems, ensuring operational readiness and safety.
  • Coordinate closely with contractors, sub-contractors, and project engineers to track construction progress against the project schedule.
  • Maintain detailed inspection logs, daily reports, and documentation of all site activities for stakeholder transparency.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure that all MEP installations meet environmental and safety sustainability targets.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in MEP inspection, preferably within port, maritime, or large-scale industrial infrastructure.
  • Thorough knowledge of international building codes (e.g., NFPA, IEC, ASHRAE) and local Philippine building regulations.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret complex engineering designs and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on quality assurance and construction defect mitigation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with site contractors and project stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and MS Office Suite for reporting and documentation.
