As an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Drafter Engineer, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and plans that ensure the seamless integration of building systems. Responsibility
- Develop detailed MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings and schematics using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure accurate and compliant designs.
- Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents to create precise drafts.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards, local regulations, and project requirements.
- Modify and update existing drawings based on feedback or design changes.
- Assist in the preparation of bill of materials (BOM) and cost estimates for MEP systems.
- Conduct site visits to verify as-built conditions and resolve discrepancies in drawings.
- Maintain organized documentation of all drafts, revisions, and project-related files.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in MEP drafting, preferably in infrastructure or construction projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP) and other drafting tools.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, building codes, and industry standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
- Good communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a plus.
