Responsibility
- Develop and maintain accurate MEP BIM models for real estate projects in the Netherlands using industry-standard software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, structural engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems into building designs.
- Perform clash detection and resolution to identify and rectify conflicts between MEP systems and other building components.
- Generate detailed construction documentation, including plans, sections, and schedules, to support project execution.
- Ensure compliance with local and international building codes, standards, and best practices for MEP systems.
- Optimize MEP designs for energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during the construction phase, including addressing RFIs (Request for Information) and design changes.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in BIM technology and MEP engineering to continuously improve modeling processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an MEP BIM Modeler or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Experience with clash detection and resolution using tools like Navisworks or BIM 360.
- Familiarity with international building codes and standards (e.g., Dutch NEN standards, Eurocodes).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to collaborate with international teams.
- Experience working on remote or international projects is a plus.
