Responsibility
- Provide individual and family counseling to patients coping with medical diagnoses, treatment plans, or emotional distress.
- Develop and implement personalized care and discharge plans to ensure smooth transitions from hospital to home or community care.
- Conduct financial assessments and connect patients with available resources, grants, or subsidies to alleviate financial burdens.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and healthcare teams to integrate social work perspectives into patient care plans.
- Advocate for patients’ rights and access to healthcare services, including referrals to external agencies or support groups.
- Organize and facilitate support groups or educational workshops for patients and families on coping strategies and resource navigation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records in compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
- Stay updated on local and national social services to provide the most relevant and effective support to patients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical or healthcare social work, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Licensed or registered as a Social Worker (or equivalent certification) in Indonesia or eligible for local registration.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust with diverse patient populations.
- Proficient in case management, crisis intervention, and advocacy techniques.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems, insurance processes, and community resources in Bali or Indonesia.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
- Demonstrated empathy, resilience, and a patient-centered approach to care.
