Responsibility

  • Assess and evaluate the functional abilities and limitations of kidney patients to develop personalized occupational therapy plans.
  • Design and implement evidence-based rehabilitation programs to improve patients' independence in daily living activities (e.g., self-care, mobility, and household tasks).
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on adaptive techniques, energy conservation, and the use of assistive devices.
  • Collaborate with nephrologists, nurses, dietitians, and social workers to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Conduct home and workplace assessments to recommend modifications that enhance accessibility and safety for patients.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and contribute to care planning.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in occupational therapy and kidney disease management through continuous professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid registration and licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Indonesia (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in occupational therapy, preferably with experience in nephrology, rehabilitation, or chronic disease management.
  • Strong understanding of kidney disease and its impact on patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin) are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
