Responsibility
- Conduct psychosocial assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families during medical crises.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and smooth transitions between care settings.
- Connect patients with community resources, such as financial assistance, housing, and support groups.
- Advocate for patient rights and facilitate access to necessary medical and social services.
- Document patient interactions and maintain accurate records in compliance with hospital policies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and care strategies.
- Educate patients and families on available support services and coping mechanisms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Licensure or certification as a Social Worker in Indonesia (or eligibility to obtain).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical or hospital social work.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Knowledge of community resources and social service programs in Bali.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining empathy and professionalism.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia (additional languages are a plus).
