Responsibility
- Conduct thorough clinical examinations and assessments for paediatric patients upon admission and during daily ward rounds.
- Formulate and execute evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with senior consultants.
- Provide immediate and effective medical intervention for paediatric emergencies within the ward.
- Maintain precise, timely, and comprehensive medical documentation and patient electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with families, providing clarity on diagnoses, treatment protocols, and discharge instructions.
- Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure timely administration of medications and procedural care.
- Participate in ongoing clinical audits and departmental quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Possess a Medical Degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) recognized by the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
- Must hold a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) with full registration.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience, with specific exposure to Paediatrics preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are highly desirable.
- Strong clinical judgment with the ability to function effectively under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
