Responsibility
- Complete an intensive Medical Coding training program covering ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Accurately assign medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services based on patient records.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CMS guidelines) and coding standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and improve coding accuracy.
- Prepare for and obtain Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credentials.
- Analyze medical records to identify discrepancies and resolve coding-related issues.
- Stay updated on coding updates, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
- Work independently or as part of a team in a remote or hybrid environment.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Philippines or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience (preferred but not required).
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and pathophysiology.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) for global client communication.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with EHR/EMR systems is a plus.
- Willingness to undergo full-time training (duration: 3-6 months).
