Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on HVAC systems onboard marine vessels.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems.
- Install and commission new HVAC equipment and components.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement system upgrades and improvements.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair, preferably in a marine environment.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including refrigeration, ventilation, and air conditioning.
- Familiarity with marine safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
