Responsibility
- Conduct thorough on-site inspections of mechanical equipment, machinery, and industrial systems to assess damage, wear, or failure.
- Analyze root causes of mechanical breakdowns, accidents, or operational failures using engineering principles and diagnostic tools.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, including photographs, diagrams, and cost estimates for repair or replacement.
- Collaborate with insurance companies, legal teams, and clients to provide expert testimony and clarify technical findings.
- Evaluate compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
- Recommend risk mitigation strategies to prevent future losses or equipment failures.
- Stay updated on advancements in mechanical engineering, materials science, and loss adjustment methodologies.
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Masterâs degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on failure analysis, maintenance, or loss adjustment.
- Proven expertise in inspecting industrial machinery, HVAC systems, marine equipment, or manufacturing plants.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards, ASME codes, and local/regional safety regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills in English.
- Proficiency in CAD software, finite element analysis (FEA), or other diagnostic tools is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Bali and occasionally to other regions in Indonesia.
- Certifications in loss adjustment, risk assessment, or forensic engineering are highly desirable.
