Responsibility
- Oversee the design, planning, and implementation of civil engineering projects within the mall, ensuring alignment with architectural and safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of structural components, utilities, and public spaces to identify maintenance needs or potential improvements.
- Collaborate with architects and contractors to develop cost-effective, sustainable solutions for infrastructure upgrades or expansions.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for construction or renovation projects.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental laws.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to deliver high-quality results on schedule.
- Coordinate with government agencies and third-party vendors for permits, approvals, and material procurement.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and maintenance teams to uphold design consistency and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on commercial or public infrastructure projects.
- Proven expertise in structural analysis, construction management, and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and sustainable design principles.
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) for technical documentation and team collaboration.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Preferable: Experience in retail or mall development and familiarity with tropical climate construction challenges.
