Responsibility
- Debug and troubleshoot mechanical systems, prototypes, and automated equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (biologists, software engineers, and automation specialists) to integrate mechanical solutions into larger systems.
- Design, test, and iterate on mechanical components and assemblies for scalability and durability in real-world conditions.
- Develop and implement diagnostic tools and methodologies to identify and resolve mechanical failures efficiently.
- Document technical specifications, test results, and debugging processes for knowledge sharing and future reference.
- Optimize existing mechanical designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and ease of maintenance.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.
- Participate in field testing and deployment of mechanical systems, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Masterâs degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in mechanical design, prototyping, and debugging, preferably in automation, robotics, or biotech industries.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools for mechanical analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Experience with manufacturing processes (CNC machining, 3D printing, injection molding) and material selection.
- Familiarity with electromechanical systems, sensors, and control systems integration.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
