Responsibility
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components for offshore deck equipment, including winches, cranes, and A-frames.
- Conduct feasibility studies and validate designs through simulations and prototyping.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with hydraulic and electrical components.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Perform stress analysis, load calculations, and material selection to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Support manufacturing and assembly processes, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures in mechanical designs.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in mechanical engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in offshore or marine equipment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a plus.
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., DNV, ABS, ISO) and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
