Responsibility
- Lead the design and development of jigs, fixtures, and automation equipment to meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Oversee the drafting, review, and approval of mechanical drawings and schematics using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and R&D, to ensure seamless integration of designs.
- Optimize existing equipment and processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new design projects, ensuring technical and commercial viability.
- Mentor and manage a team of mechanical designers, providing technical guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards in all design and manufacturing processes.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in automation and mechanical design to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in mechanical design, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) and 3D modeling tools.
- Strong knowledge of jigs, fixtures, and automation equipment design for manufacturing applications.
- Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
- Excellent project management, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME) and regulatory requirements.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills in English.
