Responsibility
- Collaborate with Inventory and Procurement teams to optimize materials availability and usage, ensuring alignment with operational demands.
- Analyze demand forecasts and historical data to develop accurate material requirements planning (MRP) strategies.
- Monitor inventory levels, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
- Work with Logistics teams to streamline inbound and outbound material flows, reducing lead times and improving efficiency.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track materials planning performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, waste reduction, and process optimization in materials management.
- Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting trends, risks, and recommendations for materials planning.
- Support cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing supply chain resilience and sustainability.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in materials planning, inventory management, or supply chain analytics, preferably in mining, manufacturing, or logistics.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels.
- Experience with demand forecasting, MRP, and inventory optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of lean principles, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on delivering results.
