Responsibility
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, and transport materials, products, or goods within warehouse or production areas.
- Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure proper functioning and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to warehouse traffic rules.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, including logging shipments, receipts, and transfers.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to optimize workflow and meet daily production or distribution targets.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining a clean, clutter-free warehouse environment to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment, such as refueling, recharging batteries, or lubricating moving parts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (1+ years) operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks (certification preferred).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA/industry standards.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects (up to 50 lbs/23 kg) repeatedly.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and attention to detail.
- Basic math and inventory management skills to assist with tracking and reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including standing, walking, or bending for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license (if applicable) and clean safety record.
- Team player with strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
