As a key contributor to our market intelligence team, you will conduct comprehensive surveys to analyze the distribution and sales performance of tobacco products in assigned territories. Your work will directly influence strategic business decisions, helping us optimize product placement and enhance customer reach in Bali’s competitive retail landscape.
This part-time position offers a flexible schedule, competitive compensation (IDR 3.8M–4.8M/month), and the opportunity to develop expertise in retail analytics and field research. Responsibility
- Conduct field surveys to assess the distribution and sales performance of tobacco products in assigned Bali regions.
- Collect and document detailed data on retail outlets (warungs, minimarkets, convenience stores) including product availability, pricing, and competitor analysis.
- Map and update retailer databases with accurate geographic and operational information.
- Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for product placement and promotions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide actionable insights for improving distribution strategies.
- Prepare weekly reports summarizing survey findings, including visual data (photos, GPS coordinates) where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations during fieldwork.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with retailers and stakeholders in the assigned territories.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; higher education in business, marketing, or related fields is a plus.
- Proven experience in field surveys, market research, or retail audits (preferably in FMCG or tobacco industry).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with retailers and team members.
- Familiarity with Bali’s geography and local retail landscape (Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, etc.).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in basic data collection tools (e.g., mobile apps, spreadsheets, GPS).
- Ownership of a motorcycle and valid driver’s license (required for field mobility).
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and verbal).
