Responsibility
- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand the client base within the maritime industry, targeting shipping companies, crew agencies, and port operators.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers in the maritime sector through proactive outreach and networking.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in emerging markets, with a focus on services that support seafarer wellbeing.
- Negotiate and close high-value contracts for maritime services, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for clients and the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor customized solutions that address the unique needs of seafarers and their families.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to adapt sales approaches and maintain a competitive edge.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients, highlighting the value of our services.
- Track and report on sales performance metrics, providing insights to refine strategies and achieve revenue targets.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in maritime sales, shipping, or crew management, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with existing connections in the maritime industry preferred.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Deep understanding of the maritime sectorâs operational and commercial challenges, including crew welfare, logistics, and compliance.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, contract-based environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite for sales tracking and reporting.
- Willingness to travel regionally or internationally as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
- Bachelorâs degree in Business, Maritime Studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
