Responsibility
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems onboard passenger vessels, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Inspect plumbing systems to identify and diagnose issues, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs to prevent system failures and ensure uninterrupted service.
- Collaborate with other crew members and engineering staff to coordinate plumbing work and ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Ensure all plumbing work adheres to environmental and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to junior crew members as needed.
- Respond to emergency plumbing situations promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Plumber, preferably in a maritime or industrial setting.
- Certification or vocational training in plumbing or a related field.
- Knowledge of maritime plumbing systems and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent physical condition and the ability to work in confined spaces and challenging environments.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel and work onboard vessels for extended periods.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and emergency procedures.
