Responsibility
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment on bulk vessels and other ship types.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with maritime safety standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to plan and execute electrical upgrades and modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance, repairs, and inventory of spare parts.
- Ensure all electrical work adheres to international maritime regulations and company policies.
- Assist in emergency repairs and provide technical support during critical operations.
- Train and mentor junior crew members on electrical safety and best practices.
Qualifications
- Certified Electrician with maritime or industrial experience.
- Valid STCW certification and other relevant maritime qualifications.
- Proven experience working on bulk carriers, container ships, or similar vessels.
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, including generators, motors, and control panels.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English and strong communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic, international environment and travel as required.
