Responsibility
- Perform installation, testing, and commissioning of marine electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and navigation equipment.
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting and diagnostic assessments to identify and resolve electrical faults on vessels and at customer sites.
- Provide routine and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of marine electrical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and vessel crews, to integrate electrical solutions seamlessly.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and service logs for all performed work and system modifications.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime electrical standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Offer on-site and remote technical support to clients, including training and guidance on system operation and maintenance.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in marine electrical technology and recommend upgrades or improvements as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field. A marine-specific certification (e.g., STCW) is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in marine electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical standards (e.g., IEC, SOLAS, ABS, DNV) and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Experience with marine power generation, distribution systems, automation, and control panels.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in dynamic environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, crew members, and engineering teams.
- Willingness to travel to various locations in Bali and potentially other regions as required by the role.
