Responsibility

  • Source, recruit, and onboard qualified maritime crew members in accordance with company standards and international maritime regulations.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to assess crew requirements and ensure timely fulfillment of personnel needs for vessels.
  • Maintain accurate records of crew certifications, licenses, and compliance documents to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Coordinate with external agencies, training providers, and government bodies to facilitate crew deployment and repatriation.
  • Conduct pre-employment screenings, including background checks and medical examinations, to ensure crew suitability.
  • Monitor crew performance, conduct evaluations, and address any disciplinary or performance-related issues in compliance with company policies.
  • Develop and implement crew retention strategies to minimize turnover and enhance team stability.
  • Stay updated on maritime labor laws, industry trends, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in HR, crew management, or maritime recruitment, preferably in the shipping or offshore industry.
  • Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, including STCW, MLC, and local labor laws.
  • Proficient in using HRIS, recruitment platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with crew members, operational teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
