Responsibility
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance for manufacturing materials.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers while negotiating contracts and pricing agreements.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and finance teams to align procurement activities with operational and budgetary goals.
- Manage inventory levels, lead times, and supply chain logistics to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Conduct regular supplier audits and performance reviews to ensure compliance with quality and ethical standards.
- Utilize ERP or procurement software to track orders, expenditures, and supplier data accurately.
- Resolve supply chain disruptions proactively and implement contingency plans to maintain production continuity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Buyer or Procurement Specialist in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to secure cost-effective agreements.
- Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess supplier performance and market conditions.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and industry-specific procurement challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
