Responsibility
- Provide real-time translation (Mandarin ↔ English/Indonesian) during project meetings, site visits, and technical discussions.
- Translate and localize technical documentation, including data center schematics, safety protocols, and operational manuals.
- Assist in drafting and proofreading bilingual reports, emails, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication between international vendors, engineers, and local teams to ensure alignment on project deliverables.
- Maintain a glossary of technical terms specific to data center operations for consistency across translations.
- Coordinate logistics for on-site visits, including scheduling, travel arrangements, and cultural briefings for foreign delegates.
- Support project managers with administrative tasks, such as tracking deadlines, documenting minutes, and updating progress reports.
- Act as a cultural liaison to foster collaboration and resolve misunderstandings in cross-border interactions.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Mandarin (native or near-native) and professional proficiency in English; Indonesian language skills are a plus.
- Proven experience as a translator/interpreter in technical, IT, or engineering fields (data center experience is advantageous).
- Strong understanding of technical terminology related to IT infrastructure, construction, or project management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work on-site in Badung, Bali with flexibility for occasional travel to project locations.
- Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and translation tools (e.g., CAT tools, Trados) is preferred.
- Degree in Translation, Linguistics, Engineering, or a related field; certification in translation is a bonus.
