As we grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mandarin Translator & Executive Assistant to join our team in Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta, or Badung.
In this bilingual role, you will serve as a critical bridge between our Chinese-speaking stakeholders and our local operations, ensuring seamless communication, cultural understanding, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with our executive team, providing high-level administrative support while facilitating translations for contracts, marketing materials, and client communications. Responsibility
- Provide accurate and culturally nuanced Mandarin-to-English and English-to-Mandarin translations for business documents, contracts, marketing materials, and client communications.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Chinese-speaking stakeholders (investors, partners, clients) and the local executive team, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Assist in organizing and coordinating meetings, conferences, and site visits, including travel arrangements and logistics for executives and clients.
- Manage executive calendars, prioritize tasks, and handle confidential correspondence with professionalism and discretion.
- Support real estate project documentation, including lease agreements, permits, and regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
- Conduct market research and prepare reports on real estate trends, competitor analysis, and investment opportunities in both English and Mandarin.
- Facilitate cross-cultural training and workshops for team members to enhance collaboration between local and Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
- Perform ad-hoc administrative tasks, such as preparing presentations, maintaining digital filing systems, and managing office supplies.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken) and English is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a translator, executive assistant, or in a bilingual administrative role, preferably in real estate, hospitality, or corporate settings.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in translation and document preparation, to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace; experience with project management tools is a plus.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to navigate cross-cultural communication challenges with tact and diplomacy.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Business Administration, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred but not required for candidates with relevant experience.
