Responsibility
- Translate business documents, contracts, and correspondence between Mandarin and English with high accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
- Facilitate communication during meetings, negotiations, and presentations to ensure clear understanding between international and local stakeholders.
- Provide real-time interpretation services for conferences, training sessions, and client interactions.
- Review and edit translated materials to maintain consistency in tone, style, and terminology.
- Assist in cross-cultural training and support for employees to enhance collaboration between teams.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to localize content for Mandarin-speaking audiences.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive business information.
- Stay updated on industry-specific terminology and trends to ensure high-quality translations.
Qualifications
- Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin and English (written and verbal).
- Proven experience as a translator, interpreter, or in a similar role (1+ years preferred).
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances in both Mandarin and English-speaking contexts.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with translation tools (e.g., CAT tools) is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
