Responsibility
- Translate and localize e-commerce product listings, marketing copy, and customer service communications from English to Mandarin (Simplified Chinese).
- Ensure cultural accuracy and linguistic nuance in all translated content to resonate with Chinese consumers.
- Collaborate with SEO teams to optimize Mandarin keywords for search visibility on platforms like Tmall, JD.com, or Shopee.
- Review and edit machine-translated content for grammar, tone, and brand consistency.
- Assist in creating Mandarin-language social media posts, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
- Monitor competitor activity in Chinese markets and provide insights for localization strategies.
- Maintain glossaries and style guides to ensure terminology consistency across projects.
- Support customer inquiries in Mandarin via chat, email, or phone as needed.
Qualifications
- Native-level proficiency in Mandarin (Simplified Chinese) and fluent English (written and verbal).
- Proven experience in translation, localization, or e-commerce content adaptation (1+ years preferred).
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, or Asian marketplaces like Taobao).
- Strong understanding of SEO principles for Mandarin-language content.
