Responsibility
- Translate written and verbal communications from Indonesian to Mandarin and vice versa with high accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
- Interpret during meetings, conferences, and business negotiations between Indonesian and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
- Review and edit translated documents, including contracts, reports, marketing materials, and internal communications.
- Ensure terminology consistency and maintain a glossary of frequently used terms for the company.
- Assist in localizing content to adapt to Mandarin-speaking audiences, including websites, social media, and product descriptions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization.
- Provide language support for customer service inquiries, emails, and other forms of correspondence.
- Stay updated on industry-specific terminology and cultural nuances in both languages.
Qualifications
- Fluency in both Mandarin (written and spoken) and Indonesian, with a near-native level in at least one.
- Proven experience as a translator, interpreter, or in a similar role, preferably in a business or corporate setting.
- Strong understanding of cultural differences and the ability to adapt translations accordingly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages, with a keen attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Literature, or a related field is a plus.
- Familiarity with translation tools (e.g., CAT tools, glossaries) is an advantage.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
