Responsibility
- Oversee the end-to-end asset lifecycle management, including acquisition, registration, tracking, maintenance, and disposal of university assets.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of asset records and compliance with institutional and regulatory policies.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive asset inventory system, leveraging digital tools for real-time tracking and reporting.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and facilities teams to streamline asset-related processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Generate detailed reports and analytics on asset utilization, depreciation, and performance to support data-driven decision-making.
- Implement best practices in asset management, including risk assessment, loss prevention, and cost optimization strategies.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on asset management protocols, policies, and system usage.
- Support campus expansion projects by assessing asset needs and coordinating logistics for new acquisitions.
Qualifications
- A Bachelorâs degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Masterâs degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in asset management, inventory control, or a similar role (5+ years for Senior Executive level).
- Proven expertise in asset tracking systems, ERP software, or inventory management tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or custom solutions).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS, or local financial regulations) related to asset management.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
