Responsibility
- Translate written and verbal communications between Mandarin and English with high accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
- Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, conferences, and virtual calls.
- Review and edit translated documents to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to company standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to localize content for international markets.
- Maintain glossaries and translation memories to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Assist in cultural consulting to ensure messaging resonates with target audiences.
- Stay updated on industry terminology and linguistic trends in both languages.
- Support administrative tasks related to translation projects, including file management and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Mandarin and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a translator or interpreter, preferably in a tech or corporate environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with translation tools (e.g., CAT tools) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Cultural awareness and ability to adapt content for different audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional certification in translation or interpretation is a plus.
