Responsibility
- Provide real-time translation and interpretation between Mandarin and Indonesian/English in business, educational, or tourism settings.
- Assist in document translation, including contracts, emails, reports, and marketing materials.
- Facilitate meetings, negotiations, and presentations by ensuring accurate communication between Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and local teams.
- Support customer service operations for Mandarin-speaking clients, resolving inquiries and providing clear, professional responses.
- Develop and maintain cultural and linguistic resources (e.g., glossaries, guides) to improve team efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure language barriers do not hinder project timelines or quality.
- Assist in training sessions for staff or students learning Mandarin, if applicable.
- Stay updated on industry-specific terminology in fields such as tourism, trade, or education.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Mandarin (HSK 5 or above) and proficiency in English and Indonesian (written and verbal).
- Proven experience in translation, interpretation, or language assistance (1+ years preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style to different audiences.
- Familiarity with business, tourism, or educational terminology in Mandarin.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, multicultural environments.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in translation and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and basic translation tools (e.g., CAT tools) is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali (preference given to candidates already based in the region).
