Responsibility
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on livestock facility infrastructure, including fencing, ventilation systems, and waste management equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues in agricultural buildings and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with farm managers to prioritize maintenance tasks based on operational needs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of spare parts.
- Install and upgrade facility systems to improve efficiency and sustainability.
- Respond to emergency repair requests promptly to minimize downtime.
- Assist in the planning and execution of facility expansion or renovation projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance, construction, or a related technical field, preferably in agriculture or livestock management.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems used in agricultural settings.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in outdoor and indoor environments.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
- Familiarity with health and safety protocols in livestock facilities.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
