Responsibility
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on livestock production equipment and facility infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system failures promptly to minimize production downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections of facility utilities, including water, ventilation, and electrical systems.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with the production team to identify areas for facility improvement and efficiency upgrades.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and biosecurity regulations while performing repairs.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for essential repair materials.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Vocational Certificate, Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or relevant technical trade certification.
- Proven work experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a farm, manufacturing, or industrial setting.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and specialized maintenance diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team under minimal supervision.
- Physical capability to handle manual labor and work in various environmental conditions typical of a farm facility.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to workplace safety protocols.
