Responsibility
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance schedules to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and facilities to identify potential issues and recommend proactive solutions.
- Oversee and perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan.
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot technical problems and implement timely repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory usage, and equipment performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies during all maintenance operations.
- Source, evaluate, and manage spare parts and maintenance supplies to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
- Train and mentor junior maintenance staff to enhance team capabilities and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing, steel, or heavy industry environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems used in industrial settings.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or similar maintenance software.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or similar is a plus.
