Responsibility
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of mechanics and technicians to ensure efficient and high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize vehicle downtime and extend fleet lifespan.
- Oversee diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in a diverse fleet of vehicles.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies in all maintenance activities.
- Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels and cost-effective procurement.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to schedule maintenance and repairs, minimizing disruptions to fleet availability.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and vehicle histories using digital management systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Stay updated on emerging automotive technologies, trends, and best practices to enhance fleet performance and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in commercial or passenger vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and fleet management best practices.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, software, and digital maintenance management systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in the automotive industry.
- Vocational or technical certification in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience working in a multicultural or international environment is advantageous.
