Responsibility
- Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
- Lead and coordinate engineering resources during plant turnarounds, shutdowns, and emergency repairs to minimize operational disruptions.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in mechanical, electrical, and automation systems with a focus on root cause analysis and permanent solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process improvements.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and enhance overall plant reliability.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and maintenance staff, fostering a skilled and motivated engineering team.
- Manage spare parts inventory, vendor relationships, and maintenance budgets to optimize cost efficiency and resource allocation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment. Senior roles require 8+ years of experience.
- Proven expertise in maintenance planning, predictive maintenance techniques, and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, PLCs, and industrial automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of implementing effective solutions to complex engineering challenges.
- Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and other maintenance software tools.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and collaborate across departments.
- Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), OSHA, and other relevant industry standards and regulations.
