As an M&E Engineer, you will bridge the gap between design and site implementation. You will work closely with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure that all M&E systemsâincluding HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, and plumbingâmeet rigorous quality, safety, and efficiency standards. Responsibility
- Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of M&E services for various construction projects.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and consultants to ensure works are executed according to specifications and local building codes.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of workmanship, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage technical documentation, including drawings, shop drawings, and progress reports.
- Troubleshoot technical issues on-site and propose effective, cost-efficient engineering solutions.
- Ensure that all M&E systems are tested and compliant with regulatory and client requirements before handover.
- Attend project meetings to provide technical insights and updates on work progress.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience in the construction or consultancy sector.
- Strong understanding of local engineering standards, CIDB regulations, and BOMBA requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant M&E design software.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.
- Registered Professional Engineer (or working towards professional status) is a significant advantage.
