Responsibility
- Coordinate and oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) systems in construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure M&E systems are integrated seamlessly into project designs.
- Review and approve M&E shop drawings, method statements, and technical submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to procure M&E materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including progress reports, as-built drawings, and commissioning records.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to M&E systems, providing innovative solutions to challenges as they arise.
- Ensure all M&E works comply with local regulations, building codes, and international standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in M&E coordination or a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of M&E systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, and low-voltage systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with local and international building codes, regulations, and standards related to M&E systems.
- Experience with M&E software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar is a plus.
