Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate daily M&E operations to ensure 100% facility uptime.
- Lead and mentor a technical team of technicians and contractors in routine maintenance tasks.
- Develop and implement comprehensive Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedules for all building systems.
- Monitor and manage building management systems (BMS), including HVAC, electrical distribution, and fire protection systems.
- Analyze energy consumption data and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize utility usage.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee work quality for outsourced facility services.
- Ensure full compliance with local building safety regulations, health & safety (OSHA) standards, and fire codes.
- Prepare detailed operational reports and budget forecasts for building repair and upgrade projects.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in building operations or facility management (retail environment preferred).
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire suppression systems.
- Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams and external contractors.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Malay.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Facility Management software/BMS.
- Ability to work flexible hours to support building maintenance requirements.
