Responsibility
- Oversee the daily operations of all pool facilities, including staffing, scheduling, and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in accordance with local regulations and Mandarin Oriental policies.
- Train, mentor, and supervise pool attendants and lifeguards to deliver exceptional guest service.
- Monitor and maintain water quality, chemical balance, and equipment functionality to ensure a safe and pristine environment.
- Develop and implement innovative poolside services, activities, and promotions to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., F&B, Housekeeping) to ensure seamless service delivery for poolside dining and events.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and efficiency.
- Manage inventory of pool supplies, towels, and amenities, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pool management or a similar role within a luxury hotel, resort, or high-end recreational facility.
- Certification in lifeguarding, pool operations, or water safety (e.g., Red Cross, Ellis & Associates) is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to train and motivate staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- In-depth knowledge of pool maintenance, water chemistry, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and early/late shifts, to meet operational demands.
- Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering personalized, five-star service.
- Proficiency in using property management systems (PMS) and basic Microsoft Office applications.
