As a Pool Attendant, you will uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction, reflecting the Mandarin Orientalâs commitment to excellence. Whether youâre preparing the pool area for the day, assisting guests with amenities, or ensuring a spotless environment, your role is essential to creating the perfect retreat for our visitors.
Responsibility
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all pool areas, including decks, loungers, umbrellas, and surrounding facilities.
- Monitor and regulate pool water quality, temperature, and chemical levels to ensure safety and hygiene standards.
- Set up and arrange poolside furniture, towels, and amenities in accordance with resort standards.
- Assist guests with requests, such as providing towels, beverages, or information about pool services and resort offerings.
- Conduct regular inspections of pool equipment (e.g., filters, pumps) and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Enforce pool safety rules and provide first aid or emergency assistance when necessary.
- Collaborate with the housekeeping and maintenance teams to address any operational or aesthetic concerns.
- Uphold a professional and courteous demeanor, reflecting the luxury brandâs values in all guest interactions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role within a hotel, resort, or recreational facility (preferably in a luxury setting).
- Strong understanding of pool maintenance, water treatment, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and early/late shifts.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly advantageous.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest service in a high-end hospitality environment.
