Responsibility
- Conduct thorough authentication and valuation of luxury goods, including watches, jewelry, handbags, and fine art.
- Assess the condition, rarity, and market trends to determine accurate appraisals.
- Prepare detailed valuation reports for clients, insurers, and auction houses.
- Stay updated on industry trends, brand histories, and market fluctuations affecting luxury items.
- Collaborate with retail teams, auctioneers, and private collectors to facilitate high-value transactions.
- Provide expert consultations to clients on investment potential and asset management.
- Maintain meticulous records of appraisals, including photographs, certificates, and provenance documentation.
- Represent the company at industry events, auctions, and client meetings with professionalism.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in luxury goods valuation, retail, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of high-end brands, materials, and craftsmanship (e.g., Rolex, Hermès, Chanel, Cartier).
- Strong analytical and research skills to assess market value and authenticity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and stakeholders.
- Certification in gemology, horology, or luxury appraisal (e.g., GIA, WOSTEP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with valuation software and database tools for tracking inventory and appraisals.
