Responsibility
- Process guest payments accurately and efficiently using POS systems, including cash, credit/debit cards, and digital transactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service with a polite, professional, and welcoming demeanor.
- Balance cash drawers at the start and end of each shift, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Handle guest inquiries, resolve billing discrepancies, and assist with special requests (e.g., split bills, gift vouchers).
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service during peak dining hours.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked cashier station with all necessary supplies.
- Upsell additional services or promotions (e.g., loyalty programs, dessert add-ons) when appropriate.
- Adhere to all financial policies, including refund processing and void transactions, with strict confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cashier in restaurants, hotels, or luxury service industries (preferred but not required).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail in financial transactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and accuracy.
- Basic computer literacy, including POS systems and Microsoft Office (training provided).
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in hospitality is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the restaurant’s operating hours.
- Neat, professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards.
