Responsibility

  • Lead and manage all laboratory operations, including lubricant testing, quality control, and product development, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Develop, optimize, and validate new lubricant formulations to meet market demands and performance requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of advanced testing methodologies and laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and supply chain, to align laboratory activities with business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze test results, providing actionable insights to improve product performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all laboratory operations.
  • Mentor, train, and develop laboratory staff to foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; a Master’s or Ph.D. is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in lubricant testing, formulation, or quality control, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Proven expertise in lubricant analysis, rheology, tribology, and performance testing.
  • Strong knowledge of ASTM, ISO, and other industry standards related to lubricant testing and quality assurance.
  • Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and advanced analytical instruments (e.g., viscometers, spectrometers, chromatographs).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
