Responsibility

  • Design and develop low voltage electrical systems for rail infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to create detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and installation plans for low voltage systems.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of low voltage equipment, including power distribution, lighting, and communication systems.
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments to identify potential risks and ensure the safety and reliability of electrical installations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to field teams during construction, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in low voltage technology and industry best practices to drive innovation in rail systems.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to Hitachi Rail’s quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in low voltage electrical design, installation, or maintenance, preferably in the rail or transportation industry.
  • Proficiency in using electrical design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or Revit for creating schematics and layouts.
  • Strong knowledge of low voltage systems, including power distribution, lighting, and communication networks.
  • Familiarity with international electrical standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, or local regulations) and safety protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
