As a Lorry Driver cum Storekeeper, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods while also managing inventory and warehouse operations. Responsibility
- Operate company lorries to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
- Manage inventory by receiving, storing, and issuing materials and products as required.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, deliveries, and stock movements.
- Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and free from hazards to promote a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to schedule deliveries and optimize routes for efficiency.
- Assist in loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or issues with inventory or vehicles to the supervisor promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Malaysian driving license (Class E or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a lorry driver or in a similar role within logistics or transportation.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely (physical fitness is required).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills in English or Bahasa Malaysia.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime if necessary.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory tracking.
