Responsibility
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate transportation schedules, routes, and carriers to optimize delivery efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, conducting regular audits to prevent discrepancies and minimize stockouts.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of logistics staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance workflow and compliance with industry regulations.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and production teams to align logistics activities with demand forecasting and business goals.
- Utilize logistics software and ERP systems to track shipments, generate reports, and analyze performance metrics.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all logistics operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse management, or supply chain operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (IMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and transportation logistics.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Familiarity with local and international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and incoterms.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams, vendors, and clients effectively.
